Meditating on God’s Truth in Uganda

June 09, 2025

Prayer Points

  • Pray for spiritual maturity – That believers in Uganda would grow in their knowledge and application of God’s Word.
  • Pray for hunger for the Word – That many more would regularly listen, study, and meditate on the Bible.
  • Pray for transformation – That the truth of God’s Word would bring lasting change in hearts and communities.

Spiritual growth is a journey. It’s a daily walk of listening, learning, praying, and putting God’s truth into action. That’s what David, a listener in Uganda, has discovered. As he spends consistent time in God’s Word, he says his eyes have been opened and his heart transformed.

What made the difference? Meditating on Scripture and letting it shape every part of his life.

David writes:

“I am so grateful for this program. It has helped me in so many ways. I have learned that, when we meditate on God’s Word, we understand it better. Just like animals chew cud to break down the contents of food, I have been meditating on most of the teachings and in the process my eyes have been opened to greater levels of spiritual maturity. I now spend more time praying, listening, and studying the Word of God.”

Let’s thank the Lord for opening David’s heart and deepening his faith. May his testimony inspire our own walk with the Lord. Let’s not rush through His Word but instead, pause, reflect, and allow the Holy Spirit to guide our understanding. As we pray together today, may we ask God to produce spiritual depth in our own hearts and in Uganda.

As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. – Colossians 2:6-7
