Today on World Prayer Today, we celebrate the joy and wonder of discovering who Jesus truly is—and what it means to belong to Him. That’s the beautiful theme that comes from today’s listener testimony from Belgium.
In Belgium, where church attendance is low and spiritual interest is waning, God is still at work. He’s raising up believers who hunger for more of Him and who dive deep into the riches of His Word with renewed passion.
This testimony reminds us of the joy we receive from God’s Word:
“I am trying to listen to the entire THRU the BIBLE program in one year. I started in January and am now in Colossians. Sometimes I am touched so deeply that I say ‘Lord, let it touch me less deeply; I can't see the way through my tears anymore.’ This week I was really touched by Colossians 2 about Jesus. Everything was made through Him and to Him and we will inherit with Him. I was also touched by the nine things that make Jesus unique. Just like being in a stadium, I really cheered!”
Praise God for this listener’s hunger for the truth and delight in discovering the greatness of Jesus! As we reflect on this testimony, let it move us to ask: When was the last time God's Word brought me to tears or made me cheer with joy?
