Pray for the U.S. Virgin Islands

Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power, that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. -2 Thessalonians 1:11-12

Included in our prayer journey through North America this week is the U.S. Virgin Islands. As we walk the white sandy beaches and take a dip in the turquoise sea, pray for our brothers and sisters living in this beautiful region. Here are some prompts guided by 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12:

• Pray for God’s work in their lives. Ask God to help our fellow believers walk worthy of their calling in Christ. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work powerfully in their lives, empowering them to fulfill their divine purpose.
• Pray for God’s glory. Pray that God’s name may be glorified through the lives of the believers in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and that they may reflect His glory in all they do.
• Pray for faith and power. Pray for the faith and power needed to accomplish good works. Ask God to strengthen believers as they undertake various tasks and missions.
• Pray for completion of works. Ask God to complete the good works that have been started in faith. Pray that His purposes are fulfilled and His church is a beacon of grace to a dark world.
