Pray against apathy and atheism in Latvia

April 26, 2024

Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.”’ -Ezekiel 37:4-5

Apathy and atheism are the two best words to describe the spiritual climate of Latvia. Welcome, prayer warriors. As we reach our final destination in eastern Europe this week, let’s boldly pray for a divine awakening in this slumbering nation.

Father, thank You that for those who have no hope, who are dead in their sins, their dry bones can come to life because of Jesus’ work on the cross. Thank You that You are willing to save them when they turn to You. Soften hearts that are hard, open eyes that are closed, bend knees that are stiff. Help them to be humbled by Your love and Your sacrifice. As your Word goes out, open doors and hearts so more will hear Your Good News and respond in faith. We praise You that You are already working in their midst. In Jesus’ name, amen.

God loves us more than we can imagine. That’s what Lily in China is learning on the Bible Bus. Hear her story on Monday as we begin to pray through eastern Asia.
