Taking Philippians 4:4 to heart

January 30, 2024

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! -Philippians 4:4

On the Bible Bus today, we learned that rejoicing in the Lord isn’t just a suggestion, it’s a command! So, let’s stop in Zambia and rejoice with a listener who joins us in his language of Shona:

“Thank you so much for the Bible teaching. The messages are clear and very understandable. Recently I have shared them with others. Together we thank God for His goodness and look to Him for the future. Our worship is pure, and our hearts are united. We find much satisfaction in studying with you and we know the Holy Spirit is at work within us. Thank you for Your faithfulness in this task.”

Do you find deep satisfaction as you study His Word, too? Together let’s thank Him for this opportunity:

Father, thank You for the joy found in studying Your Word and knowing You better. We delight in the salvation You have graciously given us through Your Son, Jesus. With full hearts we look for the day of celebration when He returns to share Your glory with all those who long for His coming. Until then, help us to spend each day rejoicing in Your presence and sharing Your love with others. In the precious name of Jesus, amen.

We’ve got great news to share from Uganda. See you there tomorrow.
