A medical student in middle Africa finds the Lord

January 09, 2024

“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” -Acts 4:12

“I was born into a polygamous family with no religion.”

That’s the beginning of an amazing letter from Serge, a medical student in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Here’s more of his story:

“One day, I happened upon your program and my father and I heard a verse saying that no one will be saved by any other name but the name of Jesus. Next, we were told not to fear death because of His sacrifice for us. Thanks to the producer of the program because the way he developed the subject pushed me to make the decision to accept Jesus as my Savior. I have just been baptized and I take part in group teachings. Thank you to those who work on this program and all those who support it. Please pray for my father and the rest of my family to be saved.”

What a great story. Let’s do that now:

We thank You, Father, for the way Your Word is changing lives in middle Africa. We are grateful for Your gift of salvation that has been given to us through the death and resurrection of Your Son, Jesus, on the cross. As Your Word goes out in DR Congo (and the world) we ask that more people hear of Him and choose to be saved. We ask that you begin with Serge’s family and our own. In the name of Jesus alone, amen.

We’re praising God in Australia tomorrow, travel with us and be encouraged.
