The difference between knowing about God and knowing God

That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full. -1 John 1:3, 4
Knowing about God and knowing God are two totally different things. That’s the important truth Sagri in Tripura, India, recently discovered as she hopped aboard the Bible Bus with us. Here’s her story:
“I attended Sunday School during my childhood and also attended a local youth fellowship a few months ago. I have learned so many things about the Bible, but I never accepted Christ in my life. When my friend told me about your programs in my language of Kokborok, I started watching and now my life is completely different. I have a new outlook and a new purpose. As I study with you, I know God better and want to spend more time with Him in His Word.”
It’s true: When we truly know God, everything changes; we are completely new creations. Pray more people in India experience this transformation as God’s Word goes out in the language of Kokborok today.
