Praying for pastors in Chad

Good things are happening with God’s Word in the country of Chad! Together let’s rejoice in this report from our in-country team:
“We’ve heard from several pastors who listen to the program. They talk about their mission to share God’s Word, their use of the materials we provide to share with churches, and their desire to correspond with us. They consider us their partners and are grateful to have a resource that supports them.”
What great news. Today as you praise God and pray for these pastors, keep these few things in mind:
- Chad is the only Muslim nation that welcomes missionaries.
- More unreached people live within its borders than any other African country.
- More than 80% of the population live below the poverty line.
- Medical care and services are greatly lacking and with the prevalence of HIV/AIDS, the Republic of Chad has the fifth highest death rate in the world.
- Church unity is threatened due to the prevalence of tribal beliefs and practices.
