Christianity isn’t a checklist, it’s an invitation

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. - 1 John 5:13
Can you know with certainty that you are saved and are forever a child of God? That’s the question Pedro in Brazil struggled with for many years. Here’s his story:
“I attended church for many years, but I have never heard words like yours before. I tried to be faithful, doing what the church wanted, living a life they prescribed, but secretly I worried if I would be accepted into heaven. After listening to your program for a while, my eyes have been opened, my fears relieved. Thank you for helping me understand the Word of God on my own and to know that my belief and surrender to Him is the only thing God requires of me to be His child.”
Today pray for the many in Brazil who see Christianity as more of a checklist than an invitation. As God’s Word goes out on THRU the BIBLE, may they come to believe Him, take Him at His Word, and trust His faithfulness to save and keep us.
