The benefits of regular Bible study

Your word I have hidden in my heart,that I might not sin against You. -Psalm 119:11
When we treasure God’s Word enough to study it regularly, we are ready to rely on its power when we need it most. That’s the story we hear from a listener in Germany. He shares:
“I am a faithful listener and have recently been betrayed by a close friend. I face financial ruin because of it. Until then, my life was easy. Now, it seems almost too much. The thing that has kept me balanced is the way the Holy Spirit brings to mind all that I have learned through you. When I am angry at the one who wronged me and think about revenge, God’s Word comes to mind. When I am frustrated and want to lash out at others for my circumstances, God Word’s comes to mind. When I want to give up and give in, God’s Word comes to mind. Thank you for all you have taught me and are teaching me. Please pray for an end to this situation and that God redeems me.”
It’s true, God’s Word prepares us for whatever we will face. Thank Him for the truths we’re learning and for the Holy Spirit who helps us remember them in difficult and uncertain times. As you do, pray more people join us on the Bible Bus in Germany and discover the many benefits of hiding His Word in our hearts.
